Find out from other people or ask the guy if he has a girlfriend, is gay or is a serial killer. If they answer is no to all three, you are clear to proceed. I assume you are in high school. If so, you are too young to have a boyfriend anyway. You should break up with your boyfriend and pursue the new guy. Good luck.
