My pet python just ate my pet chihuahua, what do i do now?

my pythons name is greg, and my chihuahua's name is steve. Greg was chillaxing near last time is saw him and now Steve is gone and Greg has a huge lump in his body!!!!!!! It has been like that for 15 minutes and i have no idea what to do!!! is it to late to go the the vet and is there any point in going to the vets??.Hypothetically, if i had an knife or axe or something is it possible to cut open Greg to get to Steve because, i like My puupy alot more than my gay old snake, or would that be stupid. If you could answer swiftly that would be greatly appreciated thanx
