What is the time limit to register a recently purchased used car in connecticut DMV?

Hi....I recently moved from India to US. My SSN is still under process...Meanwhile I want to purchase a car. But since I dont have SSN which will take minimum 10-15 days to come. I cannot register my car with DMV. I want to know what is the time limit to get the recently purchased used car registered in DMV CT.
