I'm from Connecticut going to Rhode Island this weekend...?

...and I don't yet have a drivers license. In Connecticut if you are 18 or older, and you are carrying one passenger who is 20 years of age or older and has and has had his/her license for 4 or more consecutive years, you can legally drive. I'm wondering if RI has the same law and if my being a CT resident will be a conflict.
