Why was the case surrounding the Liberty Dollar (competing currency to USD) not covered in mainstream media?

The action taken by your government has taken your own destiny out of your hands and placed it into a few speculators. If standard and poor decided tomorrow that American debt was "junk" that would ruin the whole country, that is how much power they hold.
