Would this be a cool power for a superhero in my story?

I won't say how he got that since that can be found on another question of mine. Basically, he has this power to freeze stuff (anything) and make icicles shoot out of his hand like bullets. He needs a way to escape swiftly though so there I'm stuck. Any ideas and thoughts on this superpower? He can also melt anything that has been turned to ice.
